Any learner of the Japanese language would have come across this saying soon enough. It’s frequently used in conversation, books, social media posts, etc. Bitcoiners will gravitate towards this saying since it is about the currency we value most of all: time. Ichigo ichie literally means “one time, one meeting” and is often translated to once in a lifetime. I have known Ichigo Ichie for a long time, but yesterday was the first time that I felt warranted the use of this phrase. We visited the S.E.A Aquarium. This we includes my father, my parents-in-law (who are in town from Japan), my wife and children, as well as me. Who knows if my parents-in-law will visit us again next year?
