things I learnt from setting my first Science paper

Question number needs to be bolded, as per national exam standards.
Diagram needs to be as sharp as an arrow because blurry diagrams will be hard to decipher after the exam paper is printed.
The line of the label needs to touch the diagram.
If letters A and B are used to denote a diagram in Question 1, then letters C, D and E should be used to denote another diagram in Question 2. These letters are to be used in succession.
Whenever possible, the sentence stem should be located within the question so as to reduce cognitive load on the part of the student.
Use multiracial names for different questions to represent Singapore’s multicultural context.
Include the Sun to denote the source of energy for photosynthesis-related questions.
