Tendon Ginza Itsuki is a popular restaurant among the lunchtime crowd at Tanjong Pagar - and for good reason. It’s a bit cramped, but the owner turns that into an advantage as the counter seats enable you to watch the chefs in action. Seeing how they fry the various ingredients definitely whetted my appetite and awakened my taste buds for a gastronomic treat.

The bowl of tempura was filled to the brim with various ingredients. It was a sight of sheer abundance that made me salivate and tuck into the delicacies with gusto. Balancing the flavours was a comforting bowl of chawanmushi (steamed egg) as well as a bowl of miso soup. With my taste buds satiated, I felt a great sense of satisfaction.
