I work as a teacher and am in charge of this Year’s Spelling Bee. So I spent this Sunday racking my brains to think of the words I should test my Year 1-4 students (13 to 16-year old students). Jolly proud that I worked hard on a Sunday.
Year 1
Halloween, siblings, pleasant, auditorium, mysteries, immediately, grateful, surroundings, ravenous, request, unforgettable, decision, innovative, invited, memories, relieved
Year 2
flexible, unconditional, especially, alternative, complication, deadline, accomplished, unique, frustrated, strategies, fantastic, postponed,
various, championship, sincerity
Year 3
regretted, cancelled, departure, persuasion, affordable, destination, urgent, scrumptious, execute, journeys, architecture, panicking, luxurious, transition, apologetic
Year 4
realistic, significant, expectations, perseverance, clarification, relevant, ambassador, inspirational, personality, criteria, introverted, committed, volunteering , remuneration, techniques
Do you like Spelling? Any particular words that you like to spell? I thought long and hard about this question and decided that I liked to spell ‘camaraderie’ and ‘serendipity’.
