ARGH! I heard a blood-curdling scream that made me stop in my tracks. A ferocious shark was attacking my mate! My jaw dropped open in shock. My dog was snarling loudly beside me, trying its best to help.

I was paralysed with intense fear. But there was no time to waste. I jumped into the waters without hesitation. Grabbing my mate’s body, I pulled him towards the beach. He was as heavy as lead, but I never gave up.

In the end, we made it to the beach. To my surprise, an ambulance was already there waiting for us. A bystander must have called the ambulance. 

Overcome by exhaustion, I drifted off into sleep. I could only hope that my mate would survive the attack. It was surreal that life could change so drastically in the twinkling of an eye.
