Hook: When I was your age, I grew up watching a cartoon called "Captain Planet". Your parents might have watched this cartoon too. Main Body: Times might have changed, but environmental issues remain as important as ever. In fact, they will be one of the challenges all of you will be facing as you grow up. To arm ourselves with the knowledge, Yishun Primary School is delighted to welcome a speaker from National Parks who will give us a talk on "Friends of the Forest". How can humans live harmoniously with wild plants and animals in Singapore? Let's give a warm round of applause to our speaker.
Thank you for the engaging talk on "Friends of the Forest". We have learnt interesting things about conserving natural habitats in Singapore. Now, students, aren't you excited to learn more about environmental issues? You are in luck because today is the first day of the Environmental Week organised by the Science department! We have organised engaging recess activities so that you can learn more about rainforest ecosystems and sustainable living. You can also play a part by bringing small household e-waste items and depositing them in the ALBA e-waste bin! We look forward to having you at our booths! Closing: And remember to ask your parents if they have watched "Captain Planet" before. Let's play our part in taking care of the environment.
