Those tickets to River Wonder cost an arm and a leg, but a remark my son made helped to soothe my pain.

It was an observation that he could only have made this term because we spent a couple of weeks feeding headless crickets and honey to the queen ant and her worker ants that we were rearing in school. I’m heartened to know that he can draw connections between his lived experiences and knowledge that is novel to him.
