Second time invigilating the PSLE Maths exam.

This time round, I experienced it from the lens of a father whose child would do battle with this beast five years from now. I couldn’t help but think of actionable things I could do right now to prepare him.

First, I need to teach him that an angle in an equilateral triangle is equal to 60 degrees. Get him to practise subtraction that way.

Secondly, I need to develop his spatial visualisation skills and leverage his blocks. Stack them and get him to work out the number of blocks that can be added without altering the front view and side view.

I must say that it was quite a meaningful experience.
