Please Give Me Inputs on the English Language

By cryotosensei | diaperfinancingfund | 11 Apr 2022

I earn my living as an English teacher. This year, my school sponsored me for the Orton Gillington course so that I could better help dyslexic students. Through studying of the course, I picked up historical facts like this:

the Germanic language also does not have a soft G. Words from this origin retain their hard G even when followed by E or I. For example, the words "get," "gift," and "give."

My question is: What is your heritage and how has it influenced/contributed to the English language?

I will really love to know. Please share your heritage with me.
