A Memorable Time

It was a scorching afternoon. But my family and I were on cloud nine as we walked to the Live Turtle Museum in Khatib. Little did I know that it would be a trip to be remembered.

Upon reaching our destination, my father gave me money to buy vegetables to feed the turtles. Excitement surged through me. It would be my first time getting up close with turtles!

When I stepped inside, I shuddered at the fast-moving turtles. To my horror, some of them looked larger than my school bag. Fear engulfed me. What if they bit my fingers off?

Tears welled up in my eyes. My father hugged me tightly and had a gentle smile that said more than words ever could. Gradually, I calmed down. I even mustered my courage to feed vegetables to the turtles.

In the end, I had a whale of a time at the museum. I learnt that some things might appear scary, but if I gave myself the chance, I would be able to overcome them. I would visit the Live Turtle Museum again!
