Any feedback and tips will be greatly appreciated. 😃   Title: Leveraging Colour to Help Our Students With Dyslexia   Dear colleagues,   Many of our students have dyslexia. They find reading difficult as they may struggle with losing their place, missing lines, or confusing similar words. To support them, the school has prepared a stationery set for all Year 1 students. We hope to empower them with the tools that will reduce their reading difficulties. When they understand how to use colour purposefully, they will find reading easier.   Tools

1. Yellow highlighter - Highlighting important words in yellow not only emphasises them, but also anchors them on a page. Some students experience visual crowding as they cannot make out the individual shapes of letters due to an excess of white. Yellow adds texture to the words and aids recognition.
2. Blue pen - Distinguishing handwriting from black font text on a worksheet becomes easier with a blue pen. Also, the contrast of black ink on a white background can cause visual stress for some learners. Blue helps reduce visual stress for them.
3. Green pen - Using a green pen to do corrections is something that students have learnt in primary school. Associating green = corrections helps their revised answers stand out.
