Kangkung is a fast-growing vegetable that is usually stir-fried with chilli and garlic. These four vegetables are grown the aeroponics way. This means that the plant roots dangle freely in the air instead of being covered with soil. A water pump will deliver nutrients through nozzles that creates a fine mist that cover the roots.
Another additional source of nutrients is the fish waste from red tilapia. Red tilapia is used for our Integrated Farming System because it is cheap to rear (the fish feed is cheap) and grows fast and can be sold for a good price eventually.[1]
