In 2021, due to the Luna crash, the Bitcoin that I had been keeping in this crypto exchange called Hodlnaut went under. I didn’t have a substantial amount, but to see it vaporise into nothingness was quite the shocker.

Fast forward to June 2025. I received a Proof of Debt email from Hodlnaut. It seemed that I could submit my claim to the law firm representing it. Well, I didn’t think anything would materialise but I dutifully completed the submission form anyway…just because.

Today, on the 30th of Sept, I received another email that stated how I would receive about SGD$480 in my bank account the next day. The letter enticingly indicated “first interim dividend”, which might qualify me for subsequent payouts. Well, not to get my hopes up too high. I will just enjoy my unexpected windfall. Not a coincidence that 2nd Oct is Children’s Day, so I might just treat the children to something nice.

Funny how life has a way of working itself out.
