Environment Week 2026 - organised by the Science Department - built on the laurels of 2025 and was bigger and bolder — with partnerships deepened and peer interactions fostered.
Monday began with a bang, with speakers from the National Parks Board engaging the school with interesting facts about rainforest ecosystems in Singapore.
Recess took on an interactive element, with Environmental Science Club members presenting their tried-and-tested recipe to prepare DIY detergent to their peers. Green Ambassadors and Parent Volunteers also supported our public awareness efforts by using SPARKLE Kits to help inquisitive minds learn about life cycles and food chains.
Personnel from ALBA shared invaluable tips on reducing e-waste. Yishunites were invited to deposit their small household e-waste items in the ALBA collection bin, thus contributing directly to the environmental cause.
From acquiring knowledge to taking actionable steps, Yishunites not only boosted their awareness of environmental science, but also had a whale of a time!
