I saunter off into the end of this week, feeling immensely proud of myself. And how not to feel this glowing sense of self-love? I had been pummelled at the start of this week with myriad responsibilities, including 17 compositions and the editing of my Prelim Paper. Yet, I managed to accomplish all of them in the midst of activities (such as visiting Jacob Ballas Children’s Garden) that arguably wrestled time away from these core obligations.

Completing everything required tremendous discipline on my part. A Scout student who popped by to say hi to me at the Science booth during Open House must have been taken aback by the fact that I was in the middle of marking his compo. Not only did I give him tailored feedback, but I also wrote exactly what he needed to do to magnify the climax and amplify the tension. Well done, me! 👏
