Have visited Bird Paradise several times, but today was my wife’s maiden trip. Needless to say, I found myself footing exorbitant fees because she was eager to try penguin-themed dishes such as the bun you’re admiring. Lunch struck an even more lethal blow — $70 for a family for four. I had to admit that the penguin-lookalike rice looked incredibly adorable, though. All in all, my wallet was bleeding profusely, but I guess the age-old adage holds true: happy wife, happy life. I have to say things like this to psych myself up, for dinner will be at Sushiro, which will burn another hole in my pocket. Ouch!
