(Good) Bye - A poem

By michaeljbarry | Devotion to Life | 17 Jan 2020

If you must go

Let it be so

It is time I know

But not too late to show

To speak, to bow to take a knee before you

A luminescence dawned on every shore

You

Might as well have sailed away

For I stand speechless on the sands today

I know not the cadence or particular rhythm

To follow your path into this life-like prism

But perhaps it was always meant to be left as such,

Not wanting or hoping to forever stay in touch

But alone again - the Truth of the moment

To set in stride

these doors they open

Only for one - only for one

Let go my dear

May the winds take you closer

To a land ever-clear
