A Vision

I have not found my Vision. Or the Vision has not yet found me.

Coming from someone who has been chasing carrots for too long… now I have carrot indigestion it is time to reassess the game I have been playing.

Goals and Visions are completely different pursuits altogether… I am not interested in goals anymore… they come and go, whether achieved or diverted and refined there is no real lasting substance in goals.

Goals come from the Mind, Vision comes from the Heart.

Goals are like checkpoints, you pass go and you earn $200… then next time you pass go… $200 more… but you never really consider that it might be possible to stop playing the game that you have unknowingly been playing for years.  This game which has limits set on what is possible to achieve … often based on what others have achieved.  Stay in the lines… and hit your “goal”, maybe this will bring a level of success.  This is fine for security and keeping things under your control but where is the fun in that?

Visions are not BFG’s (BIG FAT GOALS) they are VISIONS… they come from that mystical well where Visionaries are born… an entire paradigm shift away from having goals.  Hitting “goals” will occur as a side-effect of your Vision.  To imagine something that has never before been done, something that is beyond even your own comprehension so it is difficult to explain to anyone else.  So you don’t explain, because you have been seized by this awe inpsiring sight and you can do nothing else but move toward it with every atom in your being working together toward this One Thing.  You can read about Visions and Visionaries… if you’re lucky you have come across a Visionary but it is unlikely because they are most likely lost in their resolve.  Meeting one, and reading about one can not give you yours… it may perhaps stoke the flame of desire within you but that is all… at some point you’re going to have to tend to the sparked ember Alone until it consumes you whole.

Goal’s may consume you for a time - until they are reached… and then a new one may slide into its place and this will keep your busy for a while… or maybe even for life… but one thousand goals don’t even come close to the magnitude of one Pure Vision coming to fruition.

Goals are a good time…

I am not looking for a good time,

I want inspiration - full immersion

Now. Not when things are just so

Not when the sun shines in a cloudless sky

Let there be rain, hail or snow

Let there be pain unnoticed in flow

Let there be nothing but focus

On Vision

And all else dissolves

For now… I munch this carrot and enjoy the temporary pleasure… cultivating the sensitivity and sincerity to listen to my Heart.
