Keelung city is home to a 100-year old bomb shelter. It was built by the Japanese in 1903 and it is a grim reminder of that time. It was a shelter when the Americans dropped bombs in World War 2. It was also used as an ammunition depot but now it serves a different purpose, as a way to cut through traffic.
