The Dungeons & Dragons also known as D&D is a role-playing game. And is played by players that starting with young players, teenagers, adults and even seniors that enjoy some good time in their years after retirement.
It is a game for everyone, no matter the age.
Dungeons & Dragons (D&D), fantasy role-playing game (RPG), was created by American game designers Ernest Gary Gygax and David Arneson in 1974 and published that year by Gygax's company, Tactical Studies Rules (TSR).
But more about role-playing, this game is about story telling also.
In fantasy worlds of swords and sorcery or comon realms, in Sience-Fiction dimensions or campaings made after a book or movie, the world where action take place, is the setup made by The host, wich is the Game master of the game, also known as DUNGEON MASTER (DM).
Like games of make-believe, D&D is driven by imagination.
It’s about picturing a crumbling castle in a darkening forest and imagining how a fantasy adventurer might react to the challenges that scene presents.
Or being in a future Science fiction world could have a major crisis that have to be balanced back to harmony when the technology is going out of control.
Another setup can be in comon realm where the players have to solve simulations of day by day challanges.
Into the fantasy world of this game, the possibilities are limitless.
Unlike a game of make-believe, D&D gives structure to the stories—a way of determining the consequences of every adventurers actions.
This feature make this game one of those activities that enhances the creativity of all participants.
Players roll dice to determine whether their attacks hit or miss and whether their characters can scale a cliff, roll away from the strike of a magical lightning bolt, or pull off some other dangerous task.
Anything is possible, but the dice make some things more probable than others.
The Dungeon Master (DM) is the story creator the Judge and the God of the game.
His mision is to create a meaningfull and interesting gaming experience for all players.
The DM obey no one but the rules made by him, and the dice.
Of course, for young children are some easyer versions of this game and players with some more experience, play more challanging gaming campaings.
It would be no wonder to find out how some stories, books, or movies had their origin into a Dungeons and Dragons gaming sesion, where someone got the ideea to create something awesome, and share with the others.

In fact the ideea to share with you all these stories came after many sesions of D&D where I participated and saw how what happened there is gold for a good story to share with you.😁
