A hardy hello to you, Or should I say a hearty hello?
Every week we try to find an interesting tidbit of a factoid that you would like to digest. We then carefully prepare it into an artisanal dish that is our weekly post summary. This week, let's talk hearts.
We all know that humans have but one heart (awe), and of course it's a little of a lesser known fact that Time Lords, have 2 hearts (Geek reference on that one). However, there is a very real actual factual creature living on our planet that contains three hearts.
Yes we are course referring to the cephalopod (octopod) mollusk of the order Octopoda, or in layman's terms, the Octopuses. This tentacle wielding creatures of the deep has three hearts powering their body. One heart is tasked with pumping blood to the body, and the other two hearts are tasked with pumping blood to the gills.
Now that's a lot of aorta!
