Looking for equations to solve has always been the gig for an engineer and I am one of them. My engagement with social media keeps increasing even though I am an electrical engineer by profession, no day passes without engaging on one or two social media platforms.

Now, Let's Solve The Equation

There is no way to talk about social media, without mentioning Web2, a read-and-write platform e.g. Facebook, X platform (Formerly Twitter) and many others. As engagement in the social media world increases, privacy becomes an issue as big companies in Web2 are selling people's data which then serve as their revenue without settling the owner of the data.

Problem 1: User's Data are traded without their consent, meaning no reward, nor profit to the owner of the data. 

Problem 2: The platform controls the user's account, I won't go too far to conclude on this problem.

In my research, the problems highlighted are an integral aspect of Web3 because the product of Web2 and ownership gives Web3.

In a simple term: Web3 = (Web2 X Ownership). When Web2 gives Write and Read Only, Web3 gives Write, Read, and Own.
