I recently bumped into this nice article on gocryptowise about masternode coins; there are hundreds of masternode coins out, most with crazy high inflation that eventually after a bit make the price crash.

In this article are considered serious procjects with a inflation structure that can work.

The nr 1 for the author is Divi, while at number 2 we can find my favorite coin, Stakenet ($XSN), that offers not only masternode but also staking, that can be done via TPOS (leaving your wallet offline) or using their cloud service (for small amounts).

I like this project since it's inception and a new lighting DEX is about to be released, so big things are incoming.
