I have always wondered how much is my time spent on faucets actually worth? Usually I engage with them in my free time and while doing other things as well so I never really figured out what my hourly wage for faucets is.
Today I wanted to figure that out and see how much Ethereum can I earn in one hour of actively using the Fire Faucet earning platform. During this hour, I claimed the faucet, viewed PTC ads, completed shortlinks and a few simple offers from the offerwall.
About Fire Faucet
I started using Fire Faucet a couple of weeks ago for my Crypto Earning Challenge. Since the beginning I have earned around 0.75$ through this faucet. On some days I was using it a lot and on others not at all so I think overall it is not a bad amount.
Fire Faucet works on the principle of Auto Claim Points (ACP) which can be earned for completion of various tasks. Then, you can leave the faucet running and the ACP will be automatically converted to your crypto of choice (Bitcoin, Ethereum, Dogecoin, Litecoin, Dash, Tron, ZCash or DigiByte). You can choose to convert between 1-4 ACP per minute.
Another important aspect of Fire Faucet are Activity Points. Everything that you do on the Fire Faucet platform will grant some Activity Points which are used for leveling up. This is important since at every level you receive increasing amounts of BTC satoshi. Also, the amount of crypto you receive for your ACP is increased slightly.
Ways you can earn ACP and Activity Points:
- Shortlinks (50-100 ACP and 50 Activity Points for each claim)
- Faucet (random amount of ACP and 10 Activity Points every 30 minutes)
- Offerwalls (many different opportunities through third-party partners)
- Tasks (ACP and BTC satoshi for completing a certain amount of tasks each day)
- PTC (viewing sponsored pages for 8 seconds, grants 50 ACP and some Activity Points)
The Experiment
So, how much Ethereum did I manage to gather in 1 hour?
At the start of the one hour I had: 0.00350878 ETH which is currently around $1.36. During the one hour period I claimed around 30 shortlinks, viewed 3 PTC ads, claimed the faucet 3 times and completed a few offers. I was mostly focused on the JungleOfferwall offer which gives 410 ACP and I managed to complete it 4 times during this one-hour window. Another offer I did was a quiz by AdGateMedia. I was lucky that this offer was on 17% bonus promotion today and granted me 1053 ACP.
I managed to level up once from level 43 to level 44 which gave me 94 BTC satoshi. I also collected some ACP and BTC from completing a few Tasks during this period. Also, during the whole one hour, I left the autoclaming running.
When the timer was up, I had more than 4000 ACP left and around 200 BTC satoshi. Unfortunately I didn’t think to record the exact amounts before converting them. I decided to convert all the leftover ACP to Ethereum directly. This comes with a 5% fee but I figured it is the easiest way to get the total amount earned. Also, I converted BTC to Ethereum with a 3% fee. So, if you are using this faucet for Bitcoin you will be earning a little bit more than what is shown here.
At the end of the one hour of work, the final balance in my Ethereum wallet was 0.00367253 ETH which is around $1.42. Total difference was 0.00016375 ETH which amounts to $0.06 according to today’s Ethereum price.
Results
I earned $0.06 of Ethereum in one hour of activity in Fire Faucet. Overall, I’m satisfied with this result considering the effort which was put into this. Usually I would probably spread these activities out during the day and complete them while doing other things as well. Also, I have noticed that I have earned more this way than through many of my Publish0x articles which usually take at least an hour to prepare for me so it seems that maybe I should stop writing and focus more on this faucet. Just kidding, I do enjoy doing both!
