2018 NFL FanDuel Finals, Hoboken New Jersey

A live final is the Superbowl of Daily Fantasy. One Final for each of the four major sports where the top 100-160 fantasy players compete for the Championship belt...And yes, I mean a real belt. 

With hundreds of thousands of dollars on the line these weekends are both exciting and stressful. This particular final I did not qualify for. For some reason I just can’t figure out how to qualify for an NFL final...yet. I was here on behalf of Mcjester. Mcjester is a major player that attends the finals but refuses to partake in the fluff events...It’s all business for him, as it should be. Back to the final itself, FanDuel always puts on a great event soup to nuts. The first event was the Jets game on Saturday. We got to watch the game from the Jets Green Room. If you don’t know what that is, I recommend looking it up. It’s unreal! This was our view.

At this game, FanDuel ran a Showdown freeroll that paid almost every player and their guests $100.00 with the top prize being $ 8,000. Not to mention they gave every guest and player $100.00 on Fanduel Sports book. These prizes were nothing compared to the following days live final that paid out $500,000 to 1st place. If all of this wasn't enough Matthew Berry was walking about answering questions and talking to the guests. 

For the record, finals are not a fun atmosphere. I mean of course they are exciting but most people are business all the way. People are either winning tons or losing tons, the tension was palpable in the room. After the games were over, it was time for 50 chubby, DFS players with no girlfriends to see a private TI concert. That was one of the funniest things I've ever seen. All in all these events are quite amusing. But don’t think for one second winning a live final is easy. These are some of the best DFS players in the world. It’s tough enough to beat one of them, let alone 100.
