We stopped calling demons demons

started calling them disease

We stopped calling heathens heathens,

started respecting beliefs

Higher knowledge for lower logos,

Lesser fear surrendered freedom

We understood without knowing,

then we learned, now we can't beat 'em

That's the trick of the horsemen, innit,

gaining strength when we lose wisdom

Farther from destruction in our minds,

sanitized, how could y'all see them

Coming?

Every solution provided by the science guy reminds me

All they do is Adam's job, naming things we knew well blindly

Explaining things they don't comprehend, in terms ambiguously

Sounding clinical and safe, like they know what makes it all tick.
