Market Makers and Liquidity Providers compete on timing.
Their goal isn't to predict the price. Their goal is to buy large blocks of assets at one price and sell them at another, profiting from the spread.
Their advantage isn't accuracy. It's volume and speed of execution.
Their risk isn't that the price will move against them. Their risk is that another large player will get there first with a better price or faster execution.
They don't need to predict the price. They need to control the delivery time.

What this means for you:
As a retail trader, you can't compete on their turf. You can't beat them in speed or volume. You don't have access to the same information or the same infrastructure.
But they can't compete on yours either.
Accuracy, patience, risk management, reading structure… those are your weapons.
