In some of my recent posts, I have written about work in progress regarding crypto, global governance, Africa, international law, and other topics. I have done this because I have been writing a policy report together with Nathan (Nana) Kwadwo Dwamena from African Institute for Blockchain and Decentralised Finance (AIDBLOCK) about skepticism, pessimism and negativity among international financial institutions as the International Monetary Fund and Bank for International Settlements towards cryptocurrencies and blockchains
The policy report should be published during the following weeks and will be available for download. One of the key insights is that several international institutions see crypto as a threat since crypto according to their analysis replaces FIAT/government money worldwide. This is one of the reasons why central bank digital currencies (CBDCs) are promoted as alternatives to crypto.
Also, I am proposing that the way forward is to organize a democratic global citizen initiative to collect enough signatures to be presented in the UN General Assembly and show that millions of humans want to use crypto as legal money in everyday life.
Stay tuned for more information coming soon.
