Currently, all cryptocurrencies are regulated or depending on official and inofficial regulations, rules and recommendations. Official behaviors and decisions are made by national governments, international financial institutions such as International Monetary Fund and political entities such as the European Union. While unofficial ones are made by the cryptocurrency community as in Tezos and by individual crypto users' behaviors.
At the moment, most governments and public institutions do not accept and recognize crypto as money. Instead, most of the decisions are based on accepting crypto as digital/virtual assets or types of property or even banning crypto. For all of us who want crypto to be legalized, recognized, and accepted as money, we need to unite, organize and engage in democratic conversations and create citizen initiatives at all levels.
The way forward includes creating a global citizen initiative for legalizing cryptocurrencies as money worldwide. For example, we can organize through democratic social platforms such as Citizen OS and use crypto to support each other and collect signatures. If several hundred million signatures can be collected worldwide, the signatures can be sent to the UN General Assembly, the EU, African Union, and IMF and to national, state, and local governments.
Decentralization as via cryptocurrencies and blockchains is the way to better democracy, economy and community.
