By Vladan Lausevic | CryptoVlad | 12 Jan 2023

African Institute for DeFi and Blockchain (Aidblock) is a new institute created by Nathaniel Dwamena, the director at the Center for Coin Liberty at Ilapi social-libertarian think-tank in Ghana.

The story of Aidblock is to do policy research, and media coverage and organize events regarding decentralized technology as cryptocurrencies, blockchains, smart contracts etc. Also, it is about having more focus on Africa, where the popularity of crypto is growing.

According to many contemporary analysts, Africa will be the next "hot spot" for decentralization due to increasing economic development, regional integration and entrepreneurship.
