I first started using CryptoTab Browser to mine bitcoin back in 2020. For years I used it with little to no problems. Over the course of almost 4 years I managed to mine 0.00351286 BTC. Yeah withdrawals could be slow but I was able to withdraw all of it aside from my current balance of 0.00025193. 

My last successful withdrawal was almost exactly a year ago for 0.00025486. It’s taken a year to build that amount back up. I never saw CryptoTab is a “get rich quick scheme” so right now that’s about $17 USD but most readers know bitcoin is currently far from its potential ATH. I always viewed CryptoTab is a long term investment. 

Over the last few years CryptoTab has released numerous projects and apps without improving the existing ones. For years I used CryptoTab Browser on iPhone just to monitor my balance and hash speed on my PC’s. Then earlier this year with an update the iPhone app stopped working correctly and no longer displayed my hash speed. I see in the App Store a new CryptoTab browser for iPhone that costs 99¢ but upon reading the reviews I see people complaining they were charged this as a reoccurring subscription instead of the one time fee it’s advertised so I never downloaded it. 

I tried to withdraw 0.00015652 on March 1st this year but after weeks of it pending and not going through I cancelled the withdrawal request. I’d read CryptoTab gives more priority to high withdrawal amounts so I figured I’d try the withdrawal again later. So here we are 3 months later and I was considering withdrawing my balance and I look at CryptoTab’s Twitter (it’s Twitter, not “X” lmao) account and the comments are nothing but people complaining about not receiving their withdrawals. Same over on Reddit. My best guess is CryptoTab got too big, invested in too many nonsense apps no one wants to pay for (why would I pay bitcoin to earn less bitcoin than what I paid?) and now they don’t have the funds to pay people out.

When I first started using CryptoTab in 2020 the minimum withdrawal was 0.00001 bitcoin. Last night when I looked at withdrawing it says the minimum is 0.00026. This morning it says 0.00033. Now I just want to hit the minimum , try to withdraw and get out of CryptoTab. They’ve shown they can’t be trusted and numerous people on social media say their customer service is non-responsive (yet they can tweet to boast a 20% increase in hash speed across all devices).

If I’m never able to withdraw this small amount of bitcoin it’s not a big deal, I still got the majority of my mining earnings currently around $250 USD so that’s not bad, but it’s very disappointing to see this company screw over their customers. CryptoTab was decent at one point but as of now they seem to be a sinking ship…

Update: I just hit withdrawal again and now the minimum is 0.0009. It seems every time I hit withdrawal the minimum increases. Total scam. Pray I get my btc y’all 🙏 

Update: the withdrawal minimum is now 0.003. Looks like I’m never getting my bitcoin and I’m about ready to shut down CryptoTab permanently.
