Coinbase recently added a new token to its exchange: The Graph. And a small amount of this token can be obtained through Coinbase Earn. But what is The Graph?

What is The Graph

The Graph is a blockchain data indexing protocol, which allows us to query networks like Ethereum (something like a Google of blockchain data)
Access to this data can be done easily through open APIs (called subgraphs) that anyone can develop and publish.

How does it work

The data is processed in a decentralized network of computers (called Indexers), which compete with each other to offer the best indexing and search process at the lowest price.

Curators and Delegators

Apart from the Indexers, there are two more roles that are very important in this network:

• Curators. These are users (API developers, data consumers or community members) who indicate that subgraphs are useful and accurate on the network (as if they were blogs in a post, where the best ones are pointed out).
  Delegators. They are the users who delegate their participation in the Indexers, helping to protect the network and receiving, in return, a part of the consultation fees and the rewards obtained by the indexer.

GRT token price

Since its appearance on Coinbase (about a week ago), the price of the GRT token has appreciated more than 600%.
