Cryptomining Malware Targets Students with Fake Textbooks

By Cryptonomist | Cryptosphere News | 6 Sep 2019

A research has revealed that many crypto malwares are targeting students with fake executable online textbooks.

Many students opt for free online textbooks and pdf sources due to the high cost of book when buying from authentic sources.

The malware in disguise as ebook once downloaded and opened on the students electonic systems, open a backdoor for the hackers to install cryptominers and other adwares in the system.

While downloading a free ebook online may seem like you are getting a good deal, you never know what nasty thing it may carry.
