What security tips do you use on DeFi platforms?
I will like to think that I know enough to protect myself against hacks and scams. Use a MetaMask wallet on a laptop that I just use for crypto transactions, be sure to use the official website of the platform when I conduct a transaction, ignore all suspicious-looking emails etc etc. But the SushiSwap exploit made me realise how naive I was. How ignorant I could be. I didn’t even know that using SushiSwap meant that I had allowed it to gain acceptance over my tokens so that people who wanted to drain my funds out of my MetaMask could just do so! It was thanks to this sub that I realised the existence of revoke (dot) cash and the importance of revoking permissions for my wallet.
This incident brought home the point that there is still so much I don’t know. What security tips do you recommend newbies like me adopt when we want to go down the rabbit hole for DeFi?
