Just why do I sound so confident, perhaps brazen, in my title? That’s because I won the first prize for one write-up. Hold your applause for now. There were only two entries, and I guess I beat the other competitor.
Just what is this writing competition about? A picture speaks a thousand words, so here’s a relevant screenshot from r/cryptocurrency:
R/Cryptocurrency organises a writing competition, in which users are invited to submit pros and cons of five selected coins. Each competition lasts for three months, so you have more than enough time to do research and craft your arguments. So as you can tell, my username is cryotosensei, and I was crowned champion for my research piece on Solana Pros.
Getting the first place means that I would eventually be awarded 600 moons, which roughly translates to USD$30. Not too shabby for 2-3 hours’ worth of work. But more importantly, it played a pivotal role in shaping my perception as a crypto writer, notwithstanding the lack of competition. My writing was monetised!

You must be wondering why I am so generous in revealing my trade secret. Well, I anticipate this article to receive quite a bit of attention. Who can’t receive such a tantalising title? Certainly not my fellow writing enthusiasts who are always eager to cross-post their literary efforts. :P
It seems that everyone has developed a niche in terms of their writing, so I’m actually not expecting many of you to join the r/cryptocurrency competition. For it requires you to post your writing on Reddit, receive moons, trade them for LTC on Moonswap and then convert it to your desired currency. Honestly, when your heart is resolute, you will go through all these steps, just like I have. But maybe not many people are appealed to the idea of shitposting at Reddit. I know my crypto mates over at Hodlnaut’s Discord channel certainly aren’t. Shoutout to FC if you are reading this. :p
In the event that you feel motivated to submit entries for this writing competition, I more than welcome you. I mean, if I lose out to you, it just means that I need to work on expanding my crypto knowledge and honing my writing skills, right? And what better way to do so than learn from your writing!
