My baby girl will be born this year, so I anticipate my finances will take a nosedive since I will be a father of two. Between giving my father housekeeping money and saving up for my children’s college funds as well as my retirement funds, I expect to be trapped like a fly in a spider’s web, except that the silks are like galloping horses tearing me apart.
So, these are my financial circumstances for next year. But as the saying goes, “Life is tough. But so are you.” My increased responsibilities haven’t robbed me of my ability to start small and dream big. My financial resolution for next year is “Get passive income every day”.
These five words were my mantra and guiding star this year too. To a certain extent, I have succeeded in achieving this resolution because I still have 9-10 active referrals on this crypto faucet site called Cointiply, so this means that I get anything between 5 cents and 30 cents in terms of referral income every day. I also have active referrals from another crypto site called Pipeflare (https://pipeflare.io/r/dba7). One memorable month, I got $10 worth of crypto delivered straight to my Gemini account. Hence, in 2023, I hope to build on my valiant efforts, strengthen these passive income streams, invest in more financial vehicles and even generate new income streams. I do already have some insurance savings plans and government bonds. The plan is to look into other investment methods such as government treasury bills (T-bills), endowment plans and even gold!
In order to build these passive income streams, I need to hustle hard in order to garner enough for my initial capital. To this end, I hope to leverage writing, for it is both my forte and my passion. However, instead of writing whatever strikes my fancy and comes to my mind (like what I have been doing this year), I hope to exercise greater intentionality and write more authoritative pieces next year. This is in hopes that I will build my brand as an accomplished author so that more people will visit my fledgling blog and/or seek me out for sponsorships. Ganbarimasu!
