If I may be truly honest, I was dismayed upon learning that r/cryptocurrency had migrated moons out of testnet onto the Arbitrum Nova blockchain. What kind of an obscure network is that? I whined to myself. But of course, in life, you gotta follow where the money is, so I sucked it up and imported my moons into MetaMask. Because Smoky McPott had donated 200 moons to me when I was starting out on this crypto sub, I tipped other users some moons as a way of paying it forward.
When I donated moons to my fellow moon farmers, I wasn’t expecting to get rewarded in return. However, tipping others moons was apparently enough for me to qualify for the airdrop by the Arbitrum Foundation. It seems that I passed their user test by the skin of my teeth - only got two ticks on their criteria.

So I connected my MetaMask wallet to the official Arbitrum site. Just how many tokens did I get?
875 tokens! It was an unexpected windfall. I claimed the tokens at lightning speed.
I could have HODLed these tokens but I thought nothing would bring me greater satisfaction than topping up my son’s college fund. So, without hesitation, I swapped these ARB tokens to ETH Mainnet on Orbiter Finance without hesitation. I then transferred the ETH to my Gemini account, converted it to SGD and off-ramped it.

Those 875 tokens amounted to ~SGD$1300. This is crazy?! Just because I tipped a few moons? Well, I wasn’t about to complain. Because of this airdrop, I was able to meet my financial goal in regards to putting aside enough savings for my son’s college fund. This meant that I had the buffer and could channel ~$1300 of my own performance bonus to other financial goals. I’m wackily euphoric!
Which explains why I’m looking at these airdrops so that I get free money again in future. Good luck to you too!
