I wonder if anyone has noticed my brief absence from Publish0x. A new school year has begun, so I’m starting to get into the swing of things. Coupled with a toddler who inexplicably becomes energetic around bedtime, I haven’t found the time to blog much. In fact, I am blogging now in the air-conditioned comfort of Coffee Bean because my son is having his afternoon nap and my wife is mindlessly scrolling through her smartphone. Say yay to our incorrigible addiction to our phones! 

Luckily, Hodlnaut integrated a new bot into its Discord channel so that users could earn 10-20 points for every message they typed. Accumulating 10,000 points would entitle me to redeem them for $10 worth of USDC - an incentive that tugged at my heartstrings. Honestly, I was daunted by the idea of typing sooooooooo many messages in order to qualify for the USDC, but I guess since I couldn’t pull away from my hectic life to blog here, I could at the very least type a few sentences here and there on Hodlnaut’s Discord channel.

You can view my fruit of labour for this weekend from the attached image. Basically, I exceeded more than 1000 points just by chatting. How crazy is that?! This means that I probably will just have to keep this chatty demeanour up for about 2 weeks before I clinch my USDC incentive.

I am pleased as punch with myself. I just ventured into the crypto space last June, so never would I expect myself to be conversant enough with crypto trends and issues to hold intelligent conversations with others. This is where blogging every other day about crypto on Publish0x helped! My knowledge has compounded with time, perhaps more so than my actual digital assets themselves. 

Also, I picked up random interesting nuggets of trivia from the fellow users. The gamut of bite-sized sharings range from the Proof of Attendance Protocol to a crypto index fund that is about to be launched soon to Benjamin Cowen and his nuanced approach for DCA to even the word “marmite”. It feels great to face tomorrow’s Monday blues with my armour of crypto knowledge bolstered!
