My regular readers would know that my birthday was last week. So this year, I did something new. I joined r/ethtrader.

You see, r/cryptocurrency isn’t the only place that gives out free crypto. R/ethtrader does as well - it issues a crypto called Donuts to its active users. In fact, it has been giving out Donuts since 2018. 

It is my first week on this subreddit. And already I am made to learn new things. First of all, I need to register my MetaMask wallet and sync it to the sub. The link is: https://donut-dashboard.com/#/register

I have to confess that I never have heard of the Gnosis chain prior to this. It seems that these Donuts are distributed on the Gnosis chain. And they are a new thing; they came into existence in September 2022 because the developers wanted to commemorate the Merge.

After successfully registering my wallet, I have been hanging out in the Daily thread. People are friendly and willing to share their knowledge about Ethereum, so I have picked up various cool stuff in my short week there.

I think one reason why I was slow to give r/ethtrader a try was that some people in several BTC-concentrated forums could be rather dismissive of others who hold “shitcoins” (in their own words). I was apprehensive to encounter a similar rabid group at r/ethtrader. Glad to know that that wasn’t the case xP
