FaucetPay is Legit, I Just Verified it Myself

By cryotosensei | CryptoSensei | 1 Jan 2022

I first encountered FaucetPay after signing up to be a member with Fire Faucet. Then, I noticed that users could opt for either one of two payments - direct payment and payment to FaucetPay. Should I choose FaucetPay, it seemed that I didn’t have to slog so hard because the bar for withdrawal was set lower than that of direct payment.

However, I instinctively understood that FaucetPay would take a cut out of my hard-won earnings; otherwise how was it supposed to sustain its business model? So, I wasn’t very keen about becoming a FaucetPay member…

Until I got hooked on Solana and was determined to collect as much of it as I could from faucets and the like. Here was the interesting thing. Faucets specialising in Solana were few and far between, and for those that did dish out Solana like honey for people with parched throats, they distributed it to FaucetPay. I have been hearing about how fellow crypto enthusiasts are having the time of their lives enhancing their SOL portfolios through moves like (1) investing in SOL+USDC liquidity pool at Raydium, (2) staking SOL in Marinade and then MSOL in Orca, and (3) staking SOL with DAA. If I could get more SOL through faucets and FaucetPay, then I should just bite the bullet and pursue SOL hard, much like how a dog chases after its own tail.

So I signed up with FaucetPay. The first thing I did was to check the minimum withdrawal for SOL.

Okay, a fee of 0.0001 SOL wasn't that bad. The minimum withdrawal of 0.0005 SOL seemed manageable and didn't deter me away. (This is unlike Dogecoin, which required me to reach 30 DOGE. Now, tell me. How on earth am I supposed to find enough DOGE to meet the withdrawal requirement?)

But I digress. So, I worked feverishly at two SOL faucets, https://11bit.co.in/fp/sol/ and https://memesbitco.in/solana?r=5bkTff2mf8H8MWbD7NvrMoitJXBx2dekF34G8r77EotE for about a week. On the very last day of 2021, I slightly exceeded the bare minimum of 0.0005 SOL. I hastily went to place a withdrawal.

After counting down to the New Year with my wife, I went to bed. Imagine my surprise and exhilaration when I woke up this morning to find that my transaction had gone through over the night!

This bodes well for FaucetPay's processes because I wouldn't be surprised if I received my SOL belatedly owing to this holiday season. But FaucetPay delivered to rest the minds and secure the hearts of its users. Not even the New Year could throw it asunder. Two thumbs up!

If you have been sitting on the fence about whether to get a microwallet, I hope my experience brought you some clarity.
