I recently got myself a new MetaMask wallet and was keen to acquire the security tips in which I could protect my precious Moons. For the uninitiated, Moons are the cryptocurrency given out by r/cryptocurrency to reward users who post musings and comments. 1. Have a “burner” wallet for test transactions

5. As an extra precaution, I may want to use MetaMask on the mobile app instead of on the Chrome browser
6. Never store my seed phrases digitally. I never know if my device will be ambushed with malware, thus enabling hackers to wipe out the funds in my wallet immediately.
7. Never share my seed phrases with anyone
8. That’s why it’s good practice to store my seed phrases in two places
9. Use a hardware wallet. MetaMask connects to Ledger
