Sweet Sunday Gratitude Series

5 things unique to r/ethtrader

1. Active tipping culture - members tip you Donuts when your posts/comments provide value to them

2. Peer recognition - when three members with governance score of at least 20,000 feel that your comment is deserving of more exposure, they type !nominate, which turns it into a post

3. Distributed moderation - members with a 20,000 governance score have the ability to remove scam posts without having to consult the mods

4. Versatile bot - crispynutsbot tells you anything from the price of Donuts to the comments you make in a day

5. Powerful knowledge sharing - members share their lived experiences n invaluable insights, ranging from their trading methods to the wallets they use and even the airdrops they are trying to farm. You feel that you are not in this alone

As I sip my sake during dinner today, I will like to toast to you Bronuts for another great week of interactions

Sweet Sunday Gratitude Series

Yes, it isn’t Sunday yet but I already know what to be grateful for this week.

So I clicked on a random person’s profile. It said that he uses Minds, a decentralised social media platform.

Way back in 2019, I got a freelance job that needed me to promote a service on Minds for one month. After that, I never used Minds again.

So today I logged on to Minds. Wow, I have 14 Minds token. Wow, I can swap Minds for ETH on Uniswap.

But my excitement died down when I realised that I had to PAY first to withdraw my tokens. Why am I spending my money to gain money from my contributions? 😡

Which made me realise how great r/ethtrading is. We earn Donuts by making our voices heard. How cool is that?

This week, I learnt a few things:

• got a comment converted to a post n found out that the tipped donuts goes towards the ethtrader community bot

• tipped someone Donuts for the first time. Not as difficult as I have feared

• transferred a Reddit NFT to someone. It took many agonising minutes for the transaction to be processed

A week full of learning!

Passing on the baton 🏃‍♂️

Sweet Sunday Gratitude Series

Today is 1st October. It also marks a new round by Seedly (dot) sg, a personal finance site in my country. When we post 34 times (X 150 points each) in a month, we will accumulate 5000 points that can be used to redeem for $5 worth of vouchers.

Only 34 times in a month?! Geez, Bronuts comment 50 times in one day! And only $5 for a month of shitposting!

Grateful that this sub yields far better rewards for content creators like you and me.
