Early in my crypto journey, i was looking for a decent crypto exchange.
The requirements i had for an exchange:
- support for SEPA banking transactions required
- trusted by community
- possibility to buy/sell with fiat pairs and btc pairs
- support market buys and limit orders
After browsing and comparing several options, i settled for coinbase.
The first coutious steps were taken. I went through the KYC procedure and that was it.

During the first days discovering the new platform, i also found out about Coinbase Earn. This coinbase program lets its users earn crypto, just by looking at a short video about new crypto projects and answering a survey afeterwards!
The first airdrops i saw on coinbase earn were for ZRX (0x) and ZEC (Zcash). Unfortunately, there were no more tokens to be earned for these.
Looking further in the Coinbase Earn list, i also saw BAT (Basic Attention Token), XLM (Stellar Lumens) and EOS (EOS).
Great! I could start the video's and earn me some free crypto.
I'll discuss each of the courses which are currently available on the list.
XLM (Stellar Lumens)
The XLM earning i started off with was pretty easy. Five beginners lessons of watching a short video and answering a few questions about the video content and that was it. The content of the video's was really clear and after the lessons, i had a good idea of what the project was all about.
Each of the 5 lessons, brings in $2 worth of XLM. I'm off to a good start.
The last option to earn some extra cash with the XLM earning program, is inviting 4 friends to the Coinbase Earn program, so they can earn their own free crypto. This earning option lands you a whopping $10 worth of XML per referral. (The friend needs to complete at least one XLM earning lesson)
In case you want an invitation to the XLM Coinbase Earn lessons. Feel free to use mine. (Limited to 4 invites).

EOS (EOS)
Just like the XLM lessons, the EOS lessons are divided into 5 standard lessons consisting of a short video and some questions, and an extra option to invite other people to also follow the EOS lessons.
The standard lessons result in $2 worth of EOS deposited in your Coinbase account. The invites again give you $10 per invitee completing at least one lesson of the course.
You can find your invitation to the EOS course in the link below, again limited to 4 invites.

BAT (Basic Attention Token)
The BAT earning lessons consist of 3 beginners lessons (short video + a few questions about the video), each earning you an instant cool $1 worth of BAT.
After these 3 beginners lessons, there's also an option to do the advanced lesson. During this one, you are asked to download, install and use the Brave browser. (I'll talk on this one in another post). This advanced lesson earns you an additional $7 worth of BAT. Not too bad for a few minutes of your time.
OXT (Orchid)
Nothing to report on this one yet. I have been added to the waiting list. There are again 3 starndard lessons and it seems there's an extra option to invite 4 friends, which again result in $10 worth of OXT per invitee.
DAI (DAI)
The DAI earning lessons consist of 3 beginners lessons (short video + a few questions about the video), each earning you an instant cool $2 worth of DAI.
After these 3 beginner lessons, there's also an option to do the advanced lesson. During the advanced lesson, the user is guided through the process of lending DAI, with an ETH collateral. No worries, because the ETH collateral is also provided by coinbase Earn. You will be askes to install the Coinbase Wallet app on your phone, After this you will receive some free ETH. Following the rest of the tutorial brings you to the maker app to create your first contract. At the end of the line, another cool $14 worth of DAI is added to you Coinbase balance.
Kudos to the Coinbase Earn team to guide its users through this process and make it clear what the use case and potential for the DAI stable token really is!
KNC (Kyber)
Nothing to report on this one yet. I have been added to the waiting list. Each of the 3 standard lessons should pay out to $2 worth of KNC.
XTZ (Tezos)
Nothing to report on this one yet. I have been added to the waiting list. Each of the 3 standard lessons should pay out to $2 worth of XTZ.
COMP (Compound)
The compound course presents the user with 3 standard video+questions lessons, each resulting in $3 worth of COMP added to your account. A few minutes of your time, a basic understanding of the token, and you're up another $9!
ZEC (Zcash)
This course has ended, so i did not have the opportunity to follow it.
ZRX (0x)
This course has ended, so i did not have the opportunity to follow it.
Conclusion
All in all a VERY profitable option to go through. These courses don't take a lot of time to complete, but give you a very nice reward. The best part of it all is that you're learning about the tokens and currencies.
This program is a great way to educate the community and hand out some nice rewards, which in turns helps with the token adoption.
