You may have seen in the news that the Financial Conduct Authority, the UK's independent financial regulatory body - has just announced that it is banning Binance from engaging in regulated activities in the UK, so it might be surprising to find out that the UK has its very own exchange, so I decided to give Coinpass a try and here are my impressions.

• Fees less than Coinbase but more than Binance

To be entirely honest I found their website and app a bit too basic, their service is definitely targeted at the retail investor, possibly ones who will leave their tokens on the exchange. Which comes with cold storage and the reassurance of FCA registration.

As someone who earns my salary in £GBP it is nice to use trading pairs that are in my native currency - and eliminates yet another floating point in my transactions. 

Currently there isn't a lot on offer, but I understand Coinpass plans to expand its selection of coins in the future.
