Gamifiction is a game based on fiction based and played in real world environment.

A closely related concept to gamifiction is ARG or alternate reality game. No it's not that Pokemon Go thing that's augmented reality, so do'nt get confused between the two. Gamifictions can evolve both within and outside a book and keep evolving, multiple timelines can be created within just one fiction, whereas an ARG has certain rigid rules set by one or more members of the community who are refered to as puppetmasters. In a staple gamifiction you do'nt have puppetmasters but a common decentralized consensus, thus although the rules remain equal for everyone, each player can interpret the rules in his or her own way but within the conformal moment in which the particular act of play is being carried out. This makes gamifiction an ideal platform unlike the ARGs of yesteryears to test on the hotbed of blockchain and cryptocurrency. Once these two concepts are bought together a new emergent form of work, play, media and fiction will emerge a kind of transmedia or metamedia that will enable a variety of new tools that will be of immense potential to both within the crypto community and outside even the novice.

ARG as a concept is great but suffers from certain drawbacks that gamifiction can resolve.
