Bitcoin Halving..... are you bullish or bearish?

In 17 days  we will have the so called Bitcoin Halving, this event is happening just once every 4 years approximately, let’s see what really happen…. As many of you know the number of BTC issued every block solved (10 minutes time on average) will cut by 50%, from 12 to 6,5.

This is the 3rd halving of Bitcoin history, the 1st in 2012 and the 2nd in2016, the 2020 halving will occur when we reach the block #630,000 as its an event that happen every 210,000 blocks.

This cut is an “inflation cut”, the opposite of what FED doing right now printing new money, this cut will make our coins more valuable of course as there will be much less new BTC per block but is also a kind of a problem for small miners as they could find no more economically  efficient use the equipment and electricity for mine more Bitcoin, this may result in a falling of hashrate  and/or a more concentration of miners, this is bad for the supporters of the decentralization of the king cryptocurrency.

This kind of problem could be avoid if, as in last halving in 2016, the price spike up and keep in the market also the small miners, 4 years ago price went up from around 500 Dollars till a maximun of 20,000 Dollars (what a ride lol).

What can play in favour of a push up of  Bitcoin price is the crazy period we are living  with the worst economic crisis in the modern history, and an uncertain future  for many business, the economic aid that are necessary will make inflation go up and flow money to the safe haven like gold and Bitcoin.

What can go wrong with BTC price is this….. small miners stay in business anyway and are forced to sell the Bitcoin they mine for keep the balance on positive side, this can push a halt on the growth and  may start another down trend. We may notice also that there is a big growing number of  wallets that have more than 0,1 BTC and this mean that more small investor are willing to start to accumulate Bitcoin in the near future (positive thing), but this mean also that the price may yet incorporate a “halving premium” with the result of a limited power to a potential bull trend in the future.
