Today on Binance it is possible to trade a new cryptocurrency: The Measurable Data Token (MDT). Like all the new cryptocurrencies that land on the exchanges, the "new crypto" has been very volatile and has been widely traded. However, since one should never trade something you don't know, I wanted to document myself and I want to share what I have learned.
The main goal of MDT
The MDT is based on an anonymized data exchange blockchain, its goal is to allow internet users (to us) to obtain a part of the profits due to the emails and shares that we make every day. As we know all the big names on the internet monetize their profits thanks to the information we publish and exchange between us every day, but none of these allow the user to make a profit or compensation from use. However, our data are sold and sometimes they are not even anonymized.
Who is the recipient of this project?
Both individuals and businesses can become part of the world of MDT, obviously with different roles.
People like us can connect their email accounts to the MyMDT app, currently the smartphone apps that support this service are: MailTime, Magic Crystal and Email Messenger. To activate the rewards, you need to connect your accounts and you need to activate the rewards from the app settings (the official website has instructions). The data collected from our e-mails will therefore be anonymized and processed by the blockchain, in return we would be rewarded with MDT.
For companies MDT can provide a real-time data source from more than 20 billion anonymous data points from actual online shoppers all over the world. in this sense the AI provides the companies with data on the preferences and purchases of the people who are part of the blockchain, keeping the data anonymous in aggregate form. Moreover, it is possible to make requests to check the preferences of users in a specific sector or product.
How to collect your rewards?
To get the rewards in MDT you need to connect your ETH wallet to the app. supported wallets are: Trust, MetaMask Mobile and imToken.
Currently the ecosystem rewards specific data type of transaction email receipts as follows: In-app-purchase receipts, paid app receipts, subscription receipts from Apple's App Store, Email receipts from Uber, Grab, Lyft or Gojek.
How can I keep up to date on MDT?
MDT community has both its own blog and a telegram channel in which users and traders can speak freely and ask questions and compare their opinions!
For now, it is still too early for what results it will be able to achieve from this project. However personally I believe that MDT is facing the launch on one of the largest exchanges with great force and is attracting more and more interest!
Will it be worth investing in MDT?
To answer this question there are still many unknowns, but certainly the low price at launch, the great volatility and the idea behind the project are factors that encourage investment in this new-old crypto which began its journey in 2014.
