Learning about cryptocurrencies and earning some at the same time, that's a great combination. I love it and I know that you love it, too.

Two of the most popular learn & earn programs in the crypto space are the ones from Coinbase and Binance. Both cryptocurrency exchanges reward you with crypto after you have successfully passed a lesson.

It sounds like they are doing the same but when you look closer, you will notice some differences between these programs.

Coinbase Earn

Coinbase Earn is the mother of all learn and earn programs and around for some years now.

You need to watch short educational videos about a certain coin or token. After each short clip, you have to answer a simple question.

The reward per correct answer is usually $1. The good thing is that you can't do anything wrong as you have multiple chances. So Coinbase Earn is a sure bet and the reward gets credited to your wallet right away. The number of questions that you have to answer varies. In the case of $MINA, I answered three questions and could earn $3 in total.

It seems that not every lesson is available to all users at the same time. There seem to be differences depending on your location.

You probably already guessed it. You need to have a Coinbase account if you want to participate in their learn and earn program.

Binance Learn And Earn

Binance launched its own learn and earn program around one year ago. At the beginning, it looked very promising but soon, it turned out to be a real pain in the ass for several reasons.

• You need to be super fast if you want to earn something otherwise all rewards are already gone. You feel this pressure when you answer the questions. If you take a little bit too long, the rewards are already gone. 
• You have to answer several questions correctly and not just one like in the case of Coinbase. If there is one answer out of ten wrong then you have to start all over again. Some questions are extremely tricky.
• If you made it after several tries and you have answered all questions correctly, you will receive a reward that is super small. It will never be more than 50 cents per lesson.
• Finally, not everybody can earn from the lessons. It is mostly restricted to new users.

For example, Binance just announced a new round of Binance learn & earn. This round includes lessons and rewards in $BNB, $BUSD, $SOL, $HOOK, and $HFT. The $SOL, $HOOK and $HFT rewards are only available to users who have never subscribed to Simple Earn Locked Products on Binance before and when it comes to the rewards in $BNB and $BUSD then I wouldn't be too excited either. If you are fast enough, you may be able to earn $19 cents in $BNB and another 19 cents in $BUSD.

My Final Words

In the end, you can get some free crypto from both programs but on Binance, the rewards are not only much lower than on Coinbase, it also takes a lot more time and luck to complete the courses.
