Cardano Wall - An alternative way to address censorship

What is Cardano Wall? 

The developer of the Cardano Wall simply presents himself as Igor, a self-proclaimed Cardano and ADA fan, and enthusiast that simply wanted to create a blockchain project on his own as a fun project, but also as an thought experiment. 

In his own words; CardanoWall allows you to send a message to the Cardano blockchain in the easiest way possible, without delving into technical details. Your message will stay there forever and nobody can ever delete or change it. The most logical application is to make concrete the proof of the existence of documents. You can simply select files on your computer and the browser will calculate their unique hash sums. If you send those sums to the blockchain, this will be proof that such a document already existed at the moment of sending the message. It can also be used to simply congratulate someone for their birthday or anniversary, to speak about yourself, or share your thoughts. There are many applications of the Cardano blockchain and you already have the tools to utilise it right in front of you!

How to use it. 

Step 1 - Enter your email adress here 
Step 2 - You will then deposit a minimum of 1 ADA to the public adress that is being provided to you in step 1 - And then enter the voucher. 
Step 3 - You then get to either create or import an ESCDA key pair, upload proof of existence, an image file and geodata to your liking. 
Step 4 - Enter the mssage of your choosing, accept the terms of service. And you're good to go, you have now immortalized your message!                 
 

But is this just a cute little project, or is there more to it than the eye meets? 

I would like to sto reply yes and no, which seems like quite the vague answer at first, but besides giving you the  possibility of immortalizing some personal content on an unmutable blockchain, it also serves as a thought provoking way to adress the censorship that is ever increasing, the intend is not to blurt out racial slurs, be derrogative towards one another despite the fact that nothings prevents you from doing so, if that's to your own liking - but the larger point being made here is. 

The blockchain technology does not only give us the means to revolutionize the way we interact, conduct business and contribute to a more tamper-proof system that could help fight  poverty, fight censorship and corruption, among other things. 

It could also serve as a way to give the voiceless people across the globe, a voice and be heard - not being held back by their social status or cast. 
So while the general public still struggle to percieve that blockchain technology can be used for more than just conducting business.
