Splinterlands Lore Expansion Fiend.jpg

This week's Splinterlands Community Engagement Challenge is all about exploring and expanding the Lore of the NFT Game. So, the idea is to choose a theme, be it a card, an event or another fact related to the Lore of Splinterlands to write about creatively. With that in mind, since I like the 0 mana cost Fiends and also the Dragons, I thought about maybe talking about a possible Demon Dragon Fiend being added to Splinterlands, which would bring more versatility and another companion to the 5 existing Fiends.

I'll be much appreaciated if you UpvoteReblogs or give any Tips ( PIZZA 🍕, PGM 🎮, LOLZ 😆, ALIVE ❤️, etc ). Thanks and have good reading! 🍀

What are Fiends?

In the Lore of Splinterlands, Fiends are a type of species that exists in Praetoria, and one of their races that caught my attention is the Demon Fiends. These beings are immortal and have an immeasurable age, and can appear young or ancient. Their appearance is usually a bit disfigured, with a combination of elements such as horns, claws, and a type of stone on their back, a characteristic that is observed in all fiends in the game. In addition, it seems that all except the Torrent Fiend share a humanoid characteristic that ends up deforming into a type of monster.

Now talking a little more about the Fiend cards in Splinterlands, we can notice some similarities such as their 0 mana cost, making them a possible card to use when the amount of mana in the game is limited or when you have an available slot and you have already used all your mana. Another characteristic is that from a certain level onwards, all of them gain a buff or debuff ability, which is very good. Regarding status, all of them have very similar Attack, health and speed, with only a little variation between them. We have the Fiends of fire, water, earth, light and death, missing two elements to complete which would be dragon and neutral.

Demon Dragon Fiend - World Eater

Thinking about the Fiends that do not yet exist in the game, I chose to make an expansion of Lore for the Dragon element, with the addition of a Demon Dragon Fiend, called the World Eater. The idea is to make him one of the dragons' enemies, which is why it makes sense for him to be a fiend, since unlike dragons that have a high amount of mana, as he is a corrupted dragon he uses little mana and is still strong since he absorbs the power of his opponents during battle.

A long time ago in the early days of praetoria one of the primordial dragons was corrupted by demons, which caused them to lose all his strength “mana”. The loss of his strength caused him to gain the characteristics of the fiends while losing his celestial grandeur. Now his goal is to return to his maximum form, but along the way he will absorb the opponents he defeats, destroying worlds and consuming them. His fear spread throughout the universe, making him known as the World Eater. None of his opponents escaped, and little by little he assumed his expected form, losing his deformity, until he became larger than galaxies and became a Demon Dragon Fiend. Today he awaits his next opponents in an incessant search for more challenges and infinite evolution.
